Panchalingeswar Temple is situated 32 km away from Balasore in Nilgiri Hills. There are 260 steps to go to the temple, which are spread to 650 meters. It is said that Mata Sita (wife of Lord Rama) have set up these 5 shiv lingas of Panchalingeswar Temple. But no one was aware of these temple before 1846. You can visit all the 5 shiv lingas of Panchalingeswar Temple one by one. However, the fifth shiv linga lies beneath the river flowing through the rocks.
